The Initial Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Is Still Fighting.
Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the death bells for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites began covering about PlayStation unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. However, judging purely by the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox remains determined to draw people in with strong games on its flagship service.
The Current Inclusions
The two games you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up typical Ubisoft design with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "an ideal blend of frights and fights."
Intriguing Niche Additions
Yet, the less-hyped additions arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, becomes available next week — and you should try it regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
All in all, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they don't represent first-party juggernauts that are the sole reason for the service by themselves. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that lacked the recognition they were due initially — which makes them perfect candidates to get a second chance on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
