Nearly 90 Flights Associated to Jeffrey Epstein Reportedly Came to or from UK Airfields
An investigation has identified that approximately 90 aircraft journeys connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly arrived at and departed from UK airfields, with some reportedly transporting British women who claim they were exploited by the convicted sex offender.
Flight Logs Reveal Trail of Travel
The flight logs were part of thousands of court documents and files made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been disclosed over the previous twelve months. The review uncovered 87 aircraft movements connected to Epstein â featuring many that were previously unknown â coming into or leaving from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and After Guilty Verdict Flights
Unnamed âfemalesâ were recorded among the individuals travelling into and out of the UK. Significantly, 15 of these UK flights occurred subsequent to Epsteinâs 2008 conviction for soliciting sex from a minor.
âThis is âastonishingâ that there had never been a âcomprehensive British inquiryâ into his activities in the country,â said US lawyers representing numerous Epstein victims.
British Victims and Legal Proceedings
A statement from one of the British victims helped convict Epsteinâs associate socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. Yet, that individual has not received any contact by police in the UK, according to her attorney based in Florida.
In a response, the Metropolitan police stated they had ânot received any further evidence that would support restarting the investigation.â They commented, âShould new and relevant evidence be brought to our attention, encompassing any arising from the disclosure of material in the US, we will review it.â
Ongoing Document Release and Judicial Decisions
Proposed legislation to release every document held by the American government in concerning Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to follow through. A vast number of documents are projected to be released.
Separately, a US judge ruled last week that the DOJ could publicly release evidence from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epsteinâs long-term associate, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
