Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft touched down in accordance with established safety measures and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," an official representative commented in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This incident does not mark the initial instance that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has encountered technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to Washington after suffering a mechanical problem.
